CREATIVITY ROOTED IN ECOLOGY

ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME

I’m a science communicator and creative working across photography, video, and design. I’m interested in using visual storytelling to make ideas, places, people, and projects more engaging and easier to understand.

My background in wildlife ecology and conservation shapes the way I see and approach creative work, but my work isn’t limited to the natural world. I enjoy working across subjects and with people who have something worth communicating.

ROOTED IN ECOLOGY

First and foremost I am an ecologist. Years of school, field research, photography, filmmaking, and environmental work have taught me to look closely, ask questions, and find compelling ways to tell a story.

That perspective naturally carries into my creative work, whether I’m documenting wildlife, building an identity for a business, designing an exhibit, or helping communicate an idea.

WHAT I MAKE

I work across mediums depending on what a project needs, from a single photograph or visual identity to a larger story or experience.

Images that document, tell stories, and create a sense of place.

Film & Video

Documentary, storytelling, interviews, social content, and visual communication.

Design

Branding, visual identity, graphics, web, and interpretive design.

Exhibits & Environments

Vivaria, educational displays, signage, and physical experiences.

PAST PROJECTS

The Ripple Effect

A microdocumentary I filmed and edited for outreach efforts surrounding freshwater research and the value of support for science.
